Web Hosting for Enterprise delivers highly available production web hosting on Amazon Web Services leveraging Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon’s compute web service. Each package includes a fully scalable, high availability build of cloud infrastructure capable of hosting from 10,000 – 100,000 concurrent users and millions of page views per month.

With Web Hosting for Enterprise, you can access a full load balanced multi-datacenter web farm soon after subscribing to a package. The Web Hosting packages are Linux based and support the following separate network and server tiers: DMZ tier, Presentation tier, Application tier and Database tier.

Features

Web Hosting for Enterprise provides businesses direct access to public cloud infrastructure to host small or large websites with high performance and high availability. Simply configure the administrative clients to point to the Bastion Host and you have access to the Linux servers in their environment to start loading the web application.

Key features of this offering include:

Highly scalable, redundant environment: Single region, multi-availability zone active/active configuration with Auto Scaling allows for a highly redundant environment that is capable of scaling up and down based on usage spikes.
Integrated monitoring and reporting: Using Cloud Watch, Nagios and Splunk, the customer is able to have a complete picture of their infrastructure and its performance characteristics.
Secure environment: Leveraging Amazon’s Virtual Private Cloud to build an isolated single tenant web hosting environment, all requests from the open internet are routed directly to the load balancers on port 80 and 443 with no direct access to servers. All remote server access is controlled via a Bastion Host locked down to specific ports from customer specified IP address blocks.
Dynamically scale up and down based on internet load: This capability provides a very cost effective web hosting environment as capacity can be automatically scaled down when no longer needed. This is available in the web tier only and is based on concurrent users and internet traffic to the website.
Storage can be increased on any of the tiers: Configurable storage starting at 1 TB allows for robust content websites and database in the Web Hosting package (Presentation, Application and Database).

Each package contains 8 servers that are configured using AWS Virtual Private Cloud with separate network tiers for DMZ, Presentation, Application and Database. Also included is a Bastion Host for controlling remote access and a monitoring and reporting server.

Cloud Backup for Enterprise delivers low-cost, high performance data protection leveraging Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Riverbed’s Whitewater cloud storage appliance. Each package is designed to be purchased as a convenient monthly subscription fee and attaches seamlessly to many of the industry’s leading backup software applications.

With easy deployment, you can begin moving data to Amazon cloud storage within an hour of subscribing to Cloud Backup for Enterprise. Optimized for data protection workloads, this solution deduplicates, compresses, encrypts and replicates to Amazon S3 reducing costs 30-50% compared to disk or tape based systems. Data sets are compressed on average by 10–30x to speed transmission and reduce cloud storage costs.
